Understanding Thermal Insulation in Porous, Particulate Materials

Advanced Functional Materials just published our work on understanding thermal insulation in porous, particulate materials. Pia and Alexandra, used silica hollow sphere assemblies to fabricate materials with an ultralow thermal conductivity. These particulate materials can be considered as a non-flammable and dispersion-processable alternative to commercial polymer foams. The full details can be found in DOI: 10.1002/adfm.201702256
