Since June 1st, Alex has been on a research stay at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst (USA) in the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering. There, he is working in the group of Prof. James Watkins on the targeted enhancement of carbon materials using flash lamp photothermal pyrolysis. The stay is part of the elite graduate program Macromolecular Science and offers not only exciting scientific insights but also the opportunity to explore the culture and landscapes of the northeastern United States.
