Welcome Jalal!
01.12.2025
Jalal Fida joins the Retsch group as a PhD candidate working on anisotropic thermal and electronic transport in gradient-graphitized carbon materials. His research focuses on linking microstructural gradients to directional thermal and electrical conductivity, combining advanced characterization with simulation.
Jalal brings experience in high-temperature processing, transport measurements, and carbon-based energy materials, supported by prior work at Fraunhofer ISE (Freiburg) and his Master’s projects (CAU Kiel).
Within the CRC MultiTrans framework, he will develop controllable gradient materials to probe structure–transport relationships across multiple subprojects. He is excited to contribute to the group’s efforts in understanding and engineering microstructure-driven transport phenomena.
