In May, we had the pleasure of welcoming Connor Witt from the University of Massachusetts Amherst to our group. Connor is working on a joint project that was born during a research stay of one of our members at UMass, centered on the catalytic carbonization of lignin-based materials. It was great to have him here in Bayreuth — and we are glad he made the most of his visit by pushing the project forward with additional characterization methods available at our university. We thank Connor warmly for his visit and look forward to continuing our collaboration.
